Center DirectorKatie brings 20+ years of leadership experience working with families and children as an early childhood educator (ECE). Her dedication to ECE allows her to provide a foundation were children achieve social, emotional, physical, and cognitive milestones. Her commitment is to provide a safe and healthy learning environment where your child will learn self-help skills and independence and be empowered to believe in themselves. Katie is passionate about communicating, collaborating, and coordinating with a team to partner with every family and child to help fulfill their needs and to support growth.
Katie moved to Texas in 1988 from the mountains of Virginia but is proud to call Texas home. She attended college in Tennessee, where she attained her degree in Early Childhood Education. Katie is currently attending The University of Arizona Global Campus, where she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education Administration. One of Katie’s favorite quotes states, “It is not about smart children: it is about HAPPY CHILDREN who have the confidence and courage to learn and pursue things dear to their heart” Alexandra Eidens.
Her goals as the Director of MBS Kids include building solid relationships with all the families and staff where communication, education, health, safety, family involvement, and home-school connections are priorities.
