Shazin Momin
Educational Executive DirectorShazin is a dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven experienced educator with a focused commitment to professional ethics, standards of practice, and most importantly, to the social and academic growth and development of every child. After graduating with a BBA in Marketing and Honors in Corporate and Social Entrepreneurship from The University of Houston, she spent 4 years working in the hospitality industry as a sales and marketing manager for SpringHill Suites Marriott in the Greater Houston area.
During her time as a manager, she developed expertise in problem-solving, people management, and promoting a productive working environment. In 2018, Shazin furthered her education and passion for teaching by obtaining an Educator Certificate for early childhood to grade 6 in all core subjects. As a teacher, she taught 1st grade at a school in Fort Bend ISD. She demonstrated the ability to consistently prepare and instruct lesson plans based on each student’s needs and interests, expanded past learning units by promoting a more hands-on learning method, and actively made efforts to maintain an open dialogue with all parents through open houses, parent conferences, and continual student evaluations.
Along with teaching at an elementary school, Shazin has also volunteered during the weekends as a 3rd grade teacher at non-profit institutions. As a result of her extensive and diverse educational and teaching background, Shazin has the necessary experience and aptitude towards promoting high standards of education, fostering child-centered curriculum and student creativity, and creating a learning environment that encourages understanding of cultural diversity
